Kite Festival

Sunday one our senpai (more experienced student) invited us to a Kite Festival. I can't tell you exactly where because I'm still overwhelmed with all the new places. All I know is that we took a trolley downtown and then a bus up to a tall hill and a park.

It was filled with families flying kites, kids and parents running all around. There was Japanese traditional music playing and some food stands. The main event was a kite battle during which people with big kites with glass tied to the strings tried to wrap their sting around another persons and cut it down.

It was such a beautiful day, the Sakura are blooming and everybody was happy. Somebody even handed me and Brian a kite and we had fun trying to fly it.
